Roots is inspired by Frida Kahlo’s painting of the same name, in which she lays on the cracked earth, roots extending from her body to nourish the ground around her. Like the painting, this polish has a range of warm colors layered to create complexity and depth.
- Glitter-packed polish
- Clear base
- Color-shifting flakes with shades of red, copper, orange, and gold
- Holographic glitter
- Designed and made in the USA
Opaque in 2-3 coats.
This nail polish dries textured. We recommend applying clear top coat over the nail polish for a smooth, longer lasting mani!
Our photos are taken with daylight bulbs that replicate sunlight. Holographic nail polish looks best under sunlight and concentrated indoor lighting (e.g. halogen lights in the kitchen!).

Pretty color, so-so formula
The color is quite lovely it’s a holo-glitter that shifts brown/red/gold - just perfect for Fall. I bought it over the summer and used it twice: once for a pedi, then a few months later for a mani. By the second use, the formula had become very thick and didn’t spread as smoothly from the brush. The bottle had been capped tight and kept in a cool place so I’m not sure what would’ve made it so glue-y. I’m kind of disappointed because the bottle is small, so to only get two applications out of it seems like a rip-off. Also, even with top coat the finish is textured. Might want to choose another shade if that’s not preferable for you.
Beautiful but temperamental
What a beautiful polish! Opaque in 2 coats. I did a 3rd to try to smooth things out but I think this one is gonna have a bit of texture despite my best efforts. The look is striking - red brown gold almost green reflects. I think the chunky flakes of glitter add to the opacity but make it a little thick and hard to work with.
Nature and Autumn Colors Combined!!!
Truly AMAZING! Ever since I put on this polish, I cannot stop staring at my nails. They change color under all types of lighting. Reminds me of a fiery autumn day. Very stunning with hints of cooper, orange, green, red, and gold. Would have to apply 2-3 coats for the color to come out 100%. I highly recommend applying it on top of black nail polish. The polish went on my nails very smooth, and I didn't have any problems with clumps or chunkiness.
Perfect fall shade
I took a star off because like other reviews stated, the texture of this polish is very goopy and thick. It's not the easiest to work with. That being said, the color is absolutely GORGEOUS and 100% worth dealing with the weird texture. It's the type of shade I would debate getting a back up of.
I saw this polish in a YouTube video and instantly knew I had to have it. It is absolutely stunning in every kind of light and is the perfect glittery fall shade. It’s so very special and I adore it. I didn’t find it particularly hard to apply - like any glitter polish it is a bit textured/patchy in coverage at first but two coats over a base coat of burnt orange left me with full sparkling opacity.
